AM Lead Warehouse Worker - Charlotte, NC

Empire Distributors Inc, A Leading Beverage Distributor is now hiring an AM Lead Warehouse Associate. Our company offers excellent benefits, competitive wages, and the potential for growth opportunities.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Plans and controls the daily flow of work assignments to include rotation of personnel to dictated areas of operation
• Lead to work ratio expectancy of 30 to 70%
• Replenishes inventory lines for the evening warehouse persons
• Ensures daily pre-trip inspections are completed for each lift
• Monitors and controls the flow of returns and also assists inventory control in root cause analysis
• Operates forklift in the process of loading and unloading tractor trailers
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
• Operates forklifts to transport received and stored items
• Marks materials with identifying information
• Ensures the warehouse is cleaned and maintained daily
• Submits End of Day report to Management
• Willing and able to work with all products that may be ordered by our customers
• Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or AM Management team

Education and/or Experience 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations  

• Forklift Certification

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge of warehouse software as well as basic Windows functions, i.e. WCS, SAP, KEA, Excel, and Word.
