IDR is seeking a Collections Operations Specialist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity REMOTE! This role belongs to a prominent utility and energy industry company focused on retail services. The position emphasizes analyzing accounts and supporting collection and disconnect processes to ensure customer account accuracy and timely service.
Position Overview for the Collections Operations Specialist:
- Responsible for analyzing accounts to determine if service disconnection is warranted based on Texas PUC rules.
- Performs balance transfers from inactive to active accounts and reviews accounts from automatic disconnect processes to ensure accuracy.
- Runs reports in SAP-CCS and BW to support disconnect, reconnect, and monitoring processes.
- Communicates with management and distribution companies to resolve failed or rejected orders or transactions.
- Analyzes aged accounts and system failures to identify root causes and improve process efficiencies.
Requirements for the Collections Operations Specialist:
- 2+ years business experience
- 6 months collections experience combined with SAP/CCS experience can substitute for 2 years of business experience
- Knowledge of the utility and/or deregulated energy industry
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related area OR experience may substitute for college education, in which case a high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Ability to analyze reports and accounts to determine actions needed to ensure timely collection and reconnections
