IDR is seeking a Configuration & Release Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This role involves managing and automating cloud configuration, release, and infrastructure processes within AWS environments. The position offers an exciting chance to work with a dedicated team supporting statewide services.
Position Overview for the Configuration & Release Engineer:
- Design, automate, and maintain cloud configuration and release processes in AWS environments
- Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and other tools
- Support automation pipelines utilizing AWS Code Suite including CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline
- Ensure environment security, compliance, backup integrity, and certificate management
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to support ongoing service stability and efficiency
Requirements for the Configuration & Release Engineer:
- Experience managing deployments end-to-end and proficiency with IaC methodologies
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and ACM
- Experience supporting automation pipelines in AWS (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy)
- Scripting expertise in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Strong knowledge of SSL/TLS certificate management and security practices
