Lead Mid Shift Warehouse Worker- Austell, GA

Empire Distributors Inc, A Leading Beverage Distributor is now hiring a Lead Warehouse Worker - Mid Shift. Our company offers excellent benefits, competitive wages and the potential for growth opportunities.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

· Lead multiple areas within Mid Shift Operation to include Receiving, Returns, Slotting, Replenishment, and Repack. 

· Troubleshoot issues involving order and product flow in addition to utilizing SAP and various types of material handling equipment. 

· Train and mentor new/existing Teammates within Operational requirements. 

· Plans and controls the daily flow of work assignments to include rotation of personnel to dictated areas of operation 

· Lead to work ratio expectancy of 30 to 70% 

· Replenishes inventory lines for the evening warehouse persons 

· Monitors and controls the flow of returns and also assists inventory control in root cause analysis 

· Operates forklift in the process of loading and unloading tractor trailers 

· Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas 

· Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code 

· Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms 

· Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department 

· Operates forklifts to transport received and stored items 

· Marks materials with identifying information 

· Ensures the warehouse is cleaned and maintained daily 

· Submits End of Day report to Management 

Education and/or Experience 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or 

training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 

Forklift Certificate 

Computer Skills  

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge of warehouse software as well as basic Windows functions, i.e. SAP, KEA, Excel, and Word.
