Owners Rep /PM Electrical Engineer- Midlothian, TX We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design, construction, and operations of mission-critical facilities. This role focuses on optimizing efficiency and sustainability while ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards. You will act as a subject matter expert across new construction and infrastructure upgrade projects, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support data center operations. Must Have Skills
5+ years of construction-based Electrical Engineering experience
Strong knowledge of data center and mission-critical design concepts
Extensive experience with medium voltage power distribution
Experience in bidding, designing, operating, and commissioning electrical distribution systems (from HV transformers to branch circuits)
Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and controls schematics & diagrams
Hands-on experience with power systems, electrical testing, and standards
Knowledge of short circuit coordination & arc-flash (SCCAF) Reports
Strong skills in requirements gathering, scheduling, prioritization, and delivering within budget
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have Skills
Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements
Experience with AIS & GIS switchgear, relays, controls schematics, and MV cable installation
Prior background as a Field Service Representative (FSR) or with a NETA testing agent
Industry project experience in: Data centers, Power plants, Semi-conductor facilities OR Military electrical engineering projects
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Participate in design reviews (30%, 60%, 95%) with emphasis on constructability, standards, and value engineering
Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to ensure quality, speed, commissioning, and standards compliance
Support data center operations as the SME during and after project completion
Partner with project teams to develop electrical design packages, from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issued for Construction (IFC)
Troubleshoot issues across HV substations, MV distribution, and LV branch circuits during construction and commissioning
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and operations teams to resolve issues and maintain project timelines
Oversee all electrical systems throughout the project lifecycle, including procurement, vendor bidding, installation, and commissioning
Draft and review scopes of work for equipment upgrades, design updates, and documentation improvements
Liaise with vendors, manufacturers, and engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy of solutions
Support the development and rollout of construction quality standards and tools
Perform inspections of medium-voltage systems and validate calculations for cable pulling and installations
Manage budgets, schedules, resources, and contractor performance, including oversight of proposals, scope changes, and billing
