Senior Product Marketing Manager, Professional Learning
For four decades, Lexia has led the science of reading revolution, delivering research‑driven professional learning, curriculum, and embedded assessment solutions that enable districts to accelerate literacy outcomes at scale. We’re seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Professional Learning to serve as the senior, market‑facing pioneer for Lexia’s professional learning portfolio, owning strategic positioning, commercialization, and lifecycle optimization with a long‑term, enterprise‑level growth perspective aligned to company strategy, financial objectives, and evolving market conditions.
This role is designed for a seasoned product marketer who combines deep functional expertise with executive‑level judgment, influencing direction across functions without formal authority.
Job Location: US, Remote. Must work and reside within the US for this position.
Job Overview:
As the Product Marketing Manager for Professional Learning, you will define, drive, and operationalize Lexia’s market strategy for professional learning solutions. Operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, this role directly influences portfolio performance, product direction, and Lexia’s credibility with district leaders and educators by:
Establishing market strategy and long‑range positioning for professional learning through rigorous TAM analysis, segmentation, and prioritization—integrating external market forces such as district funding cycles, instructional policy, and professional development trends.
Influencing product and portfolio decisions by translating sophisticated market, buyer, and educator insights into actionable requirements and recommendations that shape roadmap investment and sequencing.
Leading go‑to‑market strategy and execution across the product lifecycle, ensuring launches, adoption efforts, and messaging frameworks are aligned to business priorities and measurable outcomes.
Setting the standard for sales enablement and market readiness, developing scalable frameworks, narratives, and best practices that are adopted across teams and inform organizational operating models.
You will work in close partnership with senior leaders across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Strategic Marketing Program team, Research, and Education Partnerships, building durable networks with decision‑makers to ensure Lexia’s professional learning solutions remain differentiated, relevant, and commercially effective.
This role is ideal for a senior‑level marketer who shapes strategy as much as they execute it and who consistently brings a market‑informed perspective to enterprise conversations.
You'll enjoy this role if you:
Are motivated by shaping strategy and influencing outcomes that extend beyond a single product or launch.
Thrive on high‑complexity problem solving, ambiguity, and impartial decision‑making that impacts multiple functional areas.
Bring a point of view on professional learning, educator change management, and district adoption dynamics—and can articulate it credibly to senior audiences.
Enjoy operating as a trusted advisor to product and commercial leadership, grounded in data, insight, and market realities.
Balance long‑range thinking with disciplined execution, ensuring strategy translates into results.
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining clarity of direction and standards of excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
Owning the end‑to‑end go‑to‑market strategy for professional learning, serving as Lexia’s internal authority on market opportunity, buyer needs, and competitive differentiation.
Leading advanced market and buyer research, synthesizing complex qualitative and quantitative inputs into strategic guidance for senior stakeholders.
Partnering with Product and Research leadership to ensure professional learning solutions align with instructional science, district realities, and evolving market expectations.
Defining and socializing differentiated positioning and messaging that clearly articulate Lexia’s professional learning value across decision‑makers, influencers, and practitioners.
Designing and orchestrating product launches, including commercialization strategy, internal readiness, and cross‑functional execution with limited oversight.
Establishing sales enablement frameworks, playbooks, solution narratives, competitive positioning, and messaging systems that scale consistency and effectiveness across teams.
Providing ongoing competitive, market, and customer intelligence to inform campaigns, portfolio decisions, and executive planning discussions.
Tracking, analyzing, and reporting performance metrics tied to adoption, pipeline influence, retention, and portfolio health—translating insights into recommendations that inform leadership action.
Leading enablement sessions and executive briefings, adapting communication style and depth to audiences across levels and functions.
Identifying systemic opportunities for improvement across the product and marketing lifecycle and proactively driving solutions.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, education, business, or related field; advanced degree highly preferred.
7–10+ years of progressive experience in product marketing, go‑to‑market strategy, or related disciplines, with demonstrated senior‑level scope and impact.
Deep experience in education, professional learning, SaaS, or mission‑driven environments, preferred.
Proven ability to influence strategy and decision‑making through market insight, critical analysis, and executive‑ready communication.
Advanced expertise in positioning and messaging development for complex solutions sold to multi‑stakeholder buying groups.
Demonstrated success partnering with Sales, Customer Success, and Product in environments requiring influence, alignment, and sound judgment over direct authority.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to project confidence, credibility, and executive presence in high‑stakes or ambiguous situations.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills, with comfort operating autonomously on complex initiatives.
Pragmatic Marketing Certification or equivalent certification preferred but not required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and familiarity with tools supporting sales enablement, marketing operations, and cross‑functional execution.
