IDR is seeking a SMO Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Dallas, TX. This role involves supporting the strategic sourcing and vendor management process within the IT sector, focusing on leveraging sourcing methodologies to optimize IT spend and strengthen supplier relationships.
Position Overview for the SMO Analyst:
- Acts as an IT sourcing subject matter expert, guiding sourcing, contract negotiations, and governance processes for IT expenditures.
- Conducts spend analysis and collaborates with internal stakeholders on complex sourcing initiatives.
- Develops sourcing strategies to maximize value and minimize organizational risk.
- Supports supplier selection, manages supplier relationships, and monitors market dynamics.
- Ensures compliance with corporate contracting standards and maintains high confidentiality of sensitive data.
Requirements for the SMO Analyst:
- Must have excellent written communication skills to effectively and accurately convey detailed and complex information regarding contract specifications, policies, and procedures to consultants/contractors and internal clients.
- 3+ years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing.
- Proven experience supporting complex sourcing events, RFP processes, and contract negotiations.
- Experience working with IT vendors, technology contracts.
- Prior experience supporting enterprise-level sourcing or procurement transformation initiatives preferred.
