Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Sr SQL Server Database Administrator:
- Manage and administer SQL Server RDBMS with a focus on performance tuning and optimization.
- Oversee backup, recovery, and high availability scenarios to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
- Develop and tune databases, leveraging TSQL programming and SQL scripting skills.
- Collaborate with our client's team to design and implement database storage solutions and capacity planning.
- Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including entity relationship diagrams and data dictionaries.
Required Skills for Sr SQL Server Database Administrator:
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server RDBMS administration.
- Proven expertise in managing backup, recovery, and high availability scenarios.
- Strong skills in SQL Server performance tuning, optimization, and TSQL programming.
- Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and SQL Server clustered environments.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
