Gemini is looking for a motivated and dependable Team Lead I to support daily building operations, provide leadership to team members, and help drive productivity, quality, and safety. The position level will be determined based on the candidate’s demonstrated skills, experience, and leadership capability. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a hands-on environment while guiding others, solving problems, and supporting continuous improvement. Schedule:  5 8-hour days; 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday

  • Overtime is scheduled as needed.
Purpose Statement

To support the goals and vision of Gemini, Inc. through leading and optimizing daily production activities to ensure the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role involves coordinating staffing and scheduling, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal performance. The Team Lead will cultivate leadership within the team, foster a collaborative environment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. By effectively communicating across departments and making informed decisions, the Team Lead contributes to the overall success and profitability of the organization.

  • Operational Excellence:
    1. Coordinate Daily Operations: Oversee daily production requirements, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost, in collaboration with other leads and supervisors.
    2. Supportive Staffing & Scheduling Coordination: Collaborate with team members to assist in coordinating staffing needs, managing schedules, and determining overtime requirements. 
    3. Monitor Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
    4. Customer Centric Mindset: Champion a customer-first approach by aligning production goals with customer expectations, ensuring high-quality output and on-time delivery that consistently exceeds customer satisfaction benchmarks.
  • Leadership & Team Development:
    1. Cultivate Leadership Presence: Demonstrate self-awareness and articulate personal strengths and areas for growth, aligning with leadership perspectives to inspire and guide the team.

    2. Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer timely and actionable feedback to team members, holding them accountable while supporting their development.
    3. Represent the Team: Serve as a liaison between the production team and other departments, ensuring alignment and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives:
    1. Champion Lean Practices: Lead and support lean initiatives, empowering team members to identify and implement improvements in processes and workflows.
    2. Promote Cross-Training: Encourage and facilitate cross-training opportunities, enhancing team versatility and resilience.
    3. Drive Problem-Solving: Utilize problem-solving tools and techniques to address operational challenges, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Business Acumen & Decision Making:
    1. Collaborate to Understand P&L Impact: Work alongside team members to recognize how departmental decisions influence the company's profit and loss, providing insights that support informed choices aligned with business objectives."
    2. Collaborative Strategic Planning: Work closely with team members to anticipate the potential impacts of decisions on interdepartmental relationships.

 Qualifications - Skills and Abilities

Qualifications – Education & Experience

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in leading and facilitating team meetings, providing updates, and fostering collaboration.
  • Experience leading projects intended to engage and empower team members. 
  • 3 or more years’ experience in production environment preferred.
  • Technical understanding of processes in the scope of the lead position preferred.
