Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Technical Support Specialist:
- Collaborate with our client's team to support and enhance distance education technologies, primarily using Blackboard LMS.
- Provide technical assistance and resolve issues related to videoconferencing tools like WebEx and productivity software such as Microsoft Office 365 or Google Apps for Education.
- Engage in strategic planning and process improvement initiatives to advance distance education programs.
- Conduct training sessions and assess the technology needs of instructional staff to ensure effective support.
Required Skills for the Technical Support Specialist:
- Associate's degree in a related field with three years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in Blackboard LMS and experience with help desk ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with videoconferencing software and productivity tools.
- Experience in K-12 or TCSG systems is highly recommended.
