IDR is seeking a Vulnerability Management Lead to join one of our top clients in the public sector industry. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in cybersecurity vulnerability management, working within a dynamic public sector environment to strengthen security postures through comprehensive vulnerability assessment and remediation.
Position Overview for the Vulnerability Management Lead:
- Review the organization’s existing vulnerability data, including vulnerabilities identified through scanning, assessments, or other security tools.
- Establish and maintain a consolidated vulnerability baseline.
- Develop and document remediation timelines for all identified vulnerabilities, reflecting current risk posture and aging.
- Ensure vulnerabilities are categorized and prioritized based on risk, severity, exploitability, and potential impact to operations, aligning with NIST guidance.
- Coordinate remediation activities across various teams and track progress to ensure timely resolution of vulnerabilities.
Requirements for the Vulnerability Management Lead:
- Extensive experience in Vulnerability Inventory and Baseline Establishment.
- Proven expertise in Risk Classification and Prioritization.
- Strong background in tracking vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Skilled in producing detailed status reports on vulnerability management activities.
- Experience validating remediation actions through available evidence, including vulnerability scan results.
